Sunday Enchanced Practice

It was on October 4th, 2015. We had a nice down-pour in Santa Barbara. The earth, plants, and people were all so nurtured and nourished by the crystal rain drops after years of severe drought.

The classroom has also just undergone a make-over: a new Chinese palace lantern represents illumination; a gold Kari fish screen represents longevity and free-flowing energy. Fresh new paint of soft gold has lightened up the whole room and makes it feel like much more expanded. Lao Tzu (a picture of his statue from the Lou Guan Taoist Temple which was handed to me by my teacher, Master Zhou Shi Tai) who is one of the greatest philosopher and the founder of Taoism was looking upon us.

There were only seven people who showed up and gathered for Taoist Light Qigong Level I enhanced group practice. This October was a difficult month for many people, there were so much transformations that happened and a fresh, new start awaits.

We arrived at 2 pm as usual, and the group practice was exceptional. We went so deep into a peaceful healing state, time felt like it had stopped. After we put a closure to the five sections, it felt like we had multiplied the practice ten times and awakened from many lifetimes.

I wondered often how Taoist Light Qigong can help people more , and how the new space would work for who walks in with sincere heart ... We have found on that day with deep gratitude, the result of the group practice really shows the tranquil, bright light space has served us so well and a new Taoist Light Wellness center is anchored.

P.S. If you have studied Taoist Light Qigong Level I, you are invited to come for the Sunday group practice again and again. The next gathering is on November 1st from 2-3:30 pm.

Testimonial By Dr. Elisa Lottor 10/2/2015

“There is a force in the universe, which, if we permit it, will flow through us and produce miraculous results” -- Gandhi

As a health care practitioner for the last 30 years, I have always been interested in health, not only for myself but for my patients.

My education and practice of Homeopathy and flower remedies have led me to understand we are really energetic beings.

My exposure to the benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine have exposed me to the concept of “chi” or energy circulating through our body.

For this reason I have looked for and found a wonderful teacher and form of qigongCalled Taoist Light.

I have been studied and practicing Taoist Light QiGong with Chiyan Wang for close to two years and these are some of the changes that I have observed.

Increased energy

Improved immunity

Quicker recover from injury

Amelioration of pain

More organized thinking

Immediate solution to problems

Life seems to flow more effortlessly

A relaxed sense of allowing

Being in the right place at the right time

Much more synchronicity

“If you want to know the secret of the universe, think of energy frequency and vibration” -- N. Tesla

I believe qigong can be one of the best things one can do as one ages to help.

Regenerate the body by eliminating energy blockages both mentally and physically, thereby allowing the free flow of “Chi” which I have come to believe is the real secret behind vitality and vibrant health., and which will be written about in my upcoming new book: The Regeneration Plan.

I highly recommend this easy-to-do type of qigong with Chiyan Wang.

Happy Moon Festival

Contemplation   (by poet Li Po)

Moon twilight approaches,

coating the ground through the window,

Resembles a touch of frost,

Moon at the window,

Taking me back to where I am from.

How does Fengshui work? (1)

As the body is the house for the soul, the house is a shelter for the body. If a plant is placed at an improper environmental location, the plant cannot stay well and healthy. If a person stays in a house or office with poor Fengshui, it will definitely effect his/her over-all wellbeing. I often put it this way: Unseen force matters. It is probably easier to understand when I say that a house with mildew or gas leaks is a sick house; one may not see or smell it in the beginning, but later on one will feel weakened and become sick. A house with poor Fengshui is the same, especially when the owner cannot see/sense how the feng ("wind") and the shui ("water") energy work. Having a good Fengshui consultant come and take a look is important like a thorough physical health check-up, then you can heal the problems.

Fengshui works with unseen force/energy as well as physical forms (tangible objects, proper placements, etc.) It will be very clear if the house has good Fengshui, because it feels secure, peaceful, balanced, happy, and flowing. For whoever lives in a house with good Fengshui, things will turn to the better: better health, better financial flow, higher energy level, sounder sleep in the night, and overall better luck. In Ancient China, there is a saying about three important factors; heavenly time (天时), earth location (地利), and a harmonious relationship with people (人和): These three things together can make any good things happen. In America, it is like being at right time and at the right place to meet the right people; surely you can imagine how everything will go smoothly under such circumstances.

With Fengshui adjustment, repair, and healing performed on the house, we intend to make these three factors work together at their optimal level, and then the place becomes the right location to support your health, career, and family harmony. It is then called as a "loving space" and "Fengshui house".

Medical Qigong and Taoist Light Qigong stage II Tune-ups

For students who have taken medical Qigong and stage II training.

It is time to keep building up our core Qi steadily in order to avoid feeling drained here and there in life, so we are going to arrange a powerful group practice for Medical Qigong and Taoist Light Qigong Stage II on Sunday, August 23, from 2-3:30 pm ($30) at 411 E. Canon Perdido, Suite 16, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.

I would like to encourage you keep practicing Taoist Light Qigong Medical Qigong and Stage II. Make sure your postures/pronunciation are all correct, so you can receive the maximum benefits.

This advanced group practice will be held on the third Sunday of each month if there is such a need and sufficient participants. Group practice is more powerful than practicing alone.

Review on Medical Qigong: Taking only 5-10 minutes in the mornings, it removes the seeds of illnesses and sets an aligned healthy tune for the day.

Stage II: The best time to practice is from 7-9 pm and usually takes 10-20 minutes. It quickly replenishes the energy we lost or used up during the day.

I hope you can come on Sunday and look forward to seeing you!

Love, light and peace,

Chiyan
